Earth Hour 2009

Well, after waiting so long, Earth Hour came and go for the first time with Malaysia officially joining it. The first time I heard about earth hour in 2007. Having everyone unite for one cause is something really awesome especially if it is an environmental cause. Maybe I just love seeing masses of people doing something together. It really makes me happy.

People of different walks of life working together. It might be just a simple task of turning off your lights, but when hundreds, thousands, MILLIONS do it, it becomes something really big. That's why is why people should be able to do it.

It is a big step for awareness as you all know our earth's poles. Erm, I mean icey poles on the north and south are melting really badly. Imagine in years to come if the ice melts faster than it freezes. Our earth will become like a cup full of iced water, then when the ice melts, it will overflow >.<

On the other hand, here are some videos of iconic buildings that participated in Earth Hour Malaysia that I saw in Youtube.

Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC)

Sunway Pyramid (The cute little lion whch wears a red Christmas hat during Christmas XD)

I am glad Malaysia joined in and I hope many more countries would join in with this cause next year :) Oh ya if you didn't see this in the newspapers today. Check the star out.

To me that's the most important part of earth hour. The result of the earth hour. :)

As for me, during that day I turned off my lights for more than an hour. Had my friends to come over and had a simple candle light dinner prepared by me. Then were my guinea pigs that night :D Kekekeke..... but at least they are still alive right? That means my food pass the test. LOL.

Then we had pizza for supper while watching horror movies without the lights on. :D It was pretty fun :) We watched Dawn of the Dead and the old school Exorcist. I actually had to dig out my old vcds to find it :D under a layer of dust though :p

That's basically how my Earth Hour went by but I hope people will always try to conserve, not only just during Earth Hour. From now onwards, when I buy things, I am going to use my own bag to carry stuff back home. Do your part people :) Just friendly neighborhood message from your friendly neighborhood friend :)

Yours Truly,
The one and only,
