Sometimes there are so many movies in the cinema but most of them have low ratings, I would rather hunt for old school movies. Recently like about few months ago, I found out about this movie in IMDB. So I was curious about it.
One day, I was browsing a DVD shop and accidentally stumbled on it. This movie is called Shawshank Redemption and it's old because it came out in 1994 when I was only 7! I didn't even know the existence of such a movie
The Short Synopsis
The movie revolves around a high positioned banker, Andy Dufresne who was wrongfully accused of the murder of his wife and her lover when they were having an affair behind his back. Due to circumstantial evidence, he was sentenced to double consecutive life sentence at the notorious Shawshank Prison.
He was despised at first by the other inmates because of his introverted manner, but slowly he made friends with Ellis Boyd 'Red' Redding, who was in the prison for a long time and his gang. Soon, Andy also becomes popular with the prison guards, including the vicious Captain Hadley who offers him protection against the jail's rougher convicts in exchange for financial counseling.
The prison warden also takes advantage of Andy's banking knowledge by exchanging privileges for creative bookkeeping. For a long twenty year period, Andy is able to maintain his sanity and dignity in prison not by physical force but by mental force. In the end with his confident attitude that keeps him going, he taught the other inmates that the ultimate key to survival is hope.
My Comments
I don't want to write up a full review for this show because I want you all to enjoy the movie. It's certainly worth it I assure you. It became an instant favourite for me immediately after watching it.
The movie is based on a novel written by Stephen King, the so called king of horror but I can assure you this story is far away from a horror movie. This powerful movie portrays a lot about hope, redemption, friendship and perseverance.
As you watch the movie, Andy never gave up on hope right until the very end. The movie is rated first on IMDB top 250 and Yahoo!Movie gave it a A- rating which I have never seen for any new movie recently except for Dark Knight. It's definitely rated so highly for a reason :)
So people dig high and low, just to hunt for this movie! It is a must watch movie or if you want I can even borrow you mine, just ask me if you know me of course. :)

LOL..Actually this few days i have been trying to cook. Did some western dishes.. some fail..some was ok..
I will post it up soon..but as for recipe all that..have to gimme some time to perfect it..
